Congratulations on an awesome Fall Rec Season!  The 8U team continued to develop their hockey skills and proved to be a dedicated and hard working group of young hockey players.  We look forward to seeing them participate in a few of the travel tournaments.  Braden Balsey was recognized by receiving the 8U Sportsmanship Award.  Good job Braden and great season 8U team!
All three of the 12U teams did an outstanding job this season.  The teams had a very competitive tournament. 

Game 1: 12B purple defeated 12A orange 2 – 0 
Game 2: 12C blue defeated 12B purple 2 – 1
Game 3: 12A orange defeated 12C blue 8 – 1

With each team winning and losing one game it came down to the goal differential to decide team placement.  12A orange team came in 1st, 12B purple came in 2nd and 12C blue came in 3rd.
 
The seasons leading scorers were: 12U orange – Dylan Nicholas, 12U purple – Ethan Osburn, 12U blue – Dillon Smith.  Top defensive player was awarded to Eric Gillies and top goalie was awarded to John Gallo.

Thank you to all the players, coaches, and families for making it a great season.  Special thanks to all the score keepers, Katie Osburn for compiling the stat, Jennifer Spears for making the game sheets, Marti Biel for the hot chocolate, and Tim Burkeen for making it happen.  We are planning on having a spring, summer, and fall rec season next year.

Upcoming Events

Storm Travel League

            The travel team practices are underway.  The first tournament is fast approaching:  December 7 – 9 for the 16’s and December 14 - 16 for the 10’s & 12’s hosted at Bladeworld Tucson.  Please hand in your $60 tournament fee at your next practice if you haven’t done so already.  Make checks payable to PYHA.  We also need all paperwork submitted before the first tournament.  So again, please make sure you have handed everything into your team managers or coaches.  If for some reason you are unable to attend practice, mail checks to:

This fee is due November 26th. 

We are trying to block hotel rooms for the 10’s and 12’s tournaments in Tucson and Yuma.  We will inform you when we have the details.
